Teller County Colorado Mountain Communities
Driving through the Ute Pass from Colorado Springs you'll travel along decades old railroad byways that have become Hwy 24. The first community reached as you exit the Pass will be Cascade, Colorado. Here you will find the entrance to the Pikes Peak Highway and The North Pole Santa's Workshop family amusement park. Further driving up the Pass will bring you to the small hamlets of Chipita Park, Green Mountain Falls, and Crystola. Each offers a unique opportunity to get away from it all by staying at a friendly bed and breakfast, sipping a cold beverage while awaiting to be served a tasty breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Continuing your journey will take you through Woodland Park, Teller County's most populated incorporated city. Woodland Park, is a favorite starting point for shopping, finding fresh roasted coffee served any way you like, and renting bikes, atvs, and other gear for your outdoor adventures. Driving along Hwy 24 you'll reach Divide, Colorado "Center of the Known Universe." Divide has become the gateway to Teller County. Turning south onto Hwy 67 will take you to Mueller State Park, Cripple Creek, and Victor, Colorado. |
Turning north from Divide along County roads #51 and #5 will lead you towards numerous camping areas, ATV and OHV trailheads, and popular residential mountain subdivisions. Continuing west on Hwy 24 will take you through Florissant, Lake George, Eleven Mile Canyon, Guffey, and to Eleven Mile State Park.
